Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

I do not like having to make big decisions. I am so indecisive. So when it comes to making a big decision I agonize over it for weeks. It’ll be in the back of my mind while I go about life as if nothing is going on. Meanwhile I am weighing the pros and cons, peoples reactions, my reaction, will I have regrets?

But a decision has to be made. So I made one.

I wanted you to hear it from me so you just didn’t wonder what happened. Or so people didn’t draw their own conclusions and think something was wrong.

It’s nothing huge and most of you will probably think ‘big deal’ or ‘who cares’. lol But there are some of you that may be disappointed.

I decided to step down from Gel Press.

I know! What was I think? Am I crazy? I don’t know. Maybe! Maybe I’ll end up regretting it. Or maybe it was the best decision for me.

It was not an easy decision to make. And honestly I still wonder sometimes if I made the right one. I think I did. Being on a team can be a big commitment and require a lot of time. For me it was starting to feel like too much. There’s so much I want to do. So much that I just don’t have time for.

I also have goals. I want to teach online classes. I want to make collage sheets to sell. These things take a lot of time and focus. I felt as long as I stayed on the Gel Press Team I was going to keep putting off my goals.

Gel Press is a fabulous company and I loved working with them, that’s why the decision was so hard to make. I love gel printing so being a part of their team was amazing and something I had never imagined would happen. But coming up with new ideas for Print to Project wasn’t the easiest. It’s hard to come up with a new idea every month, to not feel like you are being repetitive. I don’t like to put things out there that I’m not happy with and I knew it was getting to the point where I wasn’t going to be putting out projects I was proud of. That’s just not okay.

It’s not that being on the Gel Press team took up all my time but it was constantly on my mind. What will I do for my next Print to Project? What can I make? It needs to be easy and not take up too much time. What would people enjoy? What would they actually use? What technique should I use for the gel prints?

It’s all I could think about, so it felt like that’s all I was doing.

So does this mean you won’t be gel printing anymore?

Will you still do gel printing videos?

Do you think you’ll have online gel printing classes?

Everything is a possibility right? At the moment I am just enjoying my free time of not ‘having’ to do anything. I have been playing with collage which makes me so incredibly happy!

So that’s all. That’s the news. The decision I had to make. I just wanted you to hear it from me.

Thanks for always being there and being so supportive.
