Supplies I use for Collage

Which makes me do a little happy dance!
My main supply of collage images come from Mischief Circus. On their website you will find so many different styles of collage papers. What’s great is you can purchase a set and have them in your hands the very same day. All you do is purchase, download and print! You can print them on your own home computer as many times as you want! So no worries about using up your favourite image! Just print off another one!
Mischief Circus is no longer. I am so sorry. But they closed their doors in September or October of 2021. If you have already purchased sets, you can still use them as long as you downloaded the files.
After Mischief Circus closed I decided to start making my own collage sheets! You can find them in my shop!
I also love to use Dylusions Collage Sheets by Dyan Reaveley. I’m sure most of you already know of her. I do love her quirky style. You can find Dylusions products in many stores including Ranger Ink. So far she has two sets of collage sheets and they are both fabulous.
I have started to using Dyan’s Dylusions Creative Dyary Mini Glue Stick. They are small but they come in a three pack and are quite inexpensive. No complaints so far!
I know this is not needed for collage, but I have been having so much fun with Dyan’s collage sheets and shimmer paints in her small Dylusions black journal, that I just have to put it out there!
I also love to use the Dylusions Large Journal for collage and just about everything else. The pages are nice and thick and handle just about all mediums.
To adhere my collage images down I usually use one of two things; Gel Medium or Mod Podge. I currently use TCW (The Crafters Workshop) gel medium and am quite happy with it. I use Mod Podge in a matte finish, but if you like it shiny, they do have a glossing finish as well.
I like to make my own albums for collage and when I do I use Canson XL Series Watercolor Paper. You don’t have to use this kind, it’s just what I prefer. It holds up to all the media.
If you like to see how I make mine, here is a link to the video.
You may laugh, but I like to use sports tape for my albums. Seriously. I found some at the Dollarama here where I live. It works great. It’s like a canvas/cotton type material and it adheres well and stays stuck after paint and water have been applied! And I can get it at the dollar store!!! You can’t beat that! So far I haven’t had any issues using it. I don’t have the packaging for the tape I bought. I did find some on Amazon that looks to be the same as what I use. I will link that so you can at least see what I am talking about.
I found a package of sports tape at the dollar store so I thought I would include a picture so you know what you’re looking for. I will still leave the Amazon link above though.
