Other Supplies

Here are just some things I use that I get asked about.

Which makes me do a little happy dance!

Posca Paint Pens. I love these and use them quite often in my collage journals and art journals, just about everywhere! I tend to use the 0.7mm the most.

I use these Koi Waterbrushes for coloring by filling them with Dylusions Ink Spray.

I have found a new obsession and that is the fountain pen. I love sketching with this pen and India Ink.

For adhesive I tend to use one of three things (except for collage - find that under collage supplies); Scotch Permanent Tacky Glue, UHU glue stick or a double sided sticky tape.

I like to use make up wedges for applying paint through stencils. I don’t buy these online. I just get them at a dollar store. You can find them less expensive there. But I still included an Amazon link if you’re interested. I found a pretty good deal for them!

I like to use Dyan Reaveley’s acrylic journal block for a few things. I use the wavy edge for drawing journal lines. I use the block itself for stamping and also for mounting my small Gel Press plates to. It’s a tool I reach for often and comes in quite handy.

I have been using Dyan’s new cutting mat a lot lately to create cute cut outs in my journal. It’s small size is great because I can just throw it in her bag with the shimmer paints.

I also like Tim Holtz ruler. I like that it has one metal edge so I can use a knife to cut a straight line. I also love that it has a centering point and measures out from that on both sides, making it easy to center things.

Another Tim Holtz product that I use all the time is his scissors. Love them. They are so incredibly sharp.

When wanting to stamp something and not have to worry about the ink moving when more media is used, I like to choose Rangers Archival Ink. It comes in many colors. My most used is Jet Black, but I am also really liking Tim Holtz’s new Distress line of archival ink pads.

I have a variety of watercolor paint but I tend to reach for Jane Davenport’s sets most often. I love the color selection.

My favourite modeling paste is by The Crafters Workshop. It’s their Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste.

I recently purchased a new printer. This time I went cartridge free. It use to kill me how much it cost for ink, and it felt like I was constantly having to buy more. So I went with the Epson EcoTank which comes with ink. The printer was filled with ink when purchased which was well before Christmas (now it’s mid April) and it’s still a little more than 3/4 full! Awesome!

It is a more expensive printer, but honestly you would have already spent it on ink by now!
